Projects Coordinator’s Report to the membersIn keeping with our mandate
“To provide emergency clothing, food parcels, food supplements, crisis intervention and care to the homeless, drug addicts or drug dependents, long term unemployed, low income earners or recipients of government benefits in poverty and other seriously disadvantaged people in the Rowville community and surrounding areas in order to relieve their poverty, suffering, misfortune, helplessness and destitution” ...
Restore Community Care is involved in among other things, the provision of food parcels for those in need which are currently distributed through Rowville Secondary College and Restore Community Church. This activity has awakened us to learn of the significant need there is in the community and accordingly we plan to increase this level of service over the coming years.
Going forward we are investigating, exploring and implementing initiatives and strategies formulated by working closely with State & Local Government and the Commercial Sector to secure funding opportunities for community based projects. We will also increase our networking opportunities with other schools, churches and community services organisations to best serve the needs of the disadvantaged and underprivileged through-out the community of Rowville.
