Searching for Truth
When God created us, He made us in His own image (Genesis 1:27). But sin entered the world and shattered that perfect design, filling us with pride and confusion, and distorting our true identity (Romans 3:23). Yet God never meant for us to live broken and lost. His love for us is so powerful that He sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue us (John 3:16).
Jesus, the Author of life (Acts 3:15), humbled Himself and became one of us (Philippians 2:6-8). For three years, He walked among us, revealing the heart of the Father through healing the sick, forgiving sins, and casting out demons (Matthew 9:35). His love was so great that He willingly endured the cross—being bruised and beaten beyond recognition—to pay the price for our sins (Isaiah 53:5). Why? Because sin had broken us so deeply, and Jesus took on that brokenness so we could be restored to the fullness of who we were created to be (2 Corinthians 5:21). This is the love that never fails, that never gives up, and that never lets us go (Romans 8:38-39). He loves you. He loves me. And He paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
There is a profound truth in everything Jesus did on the cross:
• He died so that we might live (John 10:10).
• The Father turned away from Him for a moment so He could welcome us forever (2 Corinthians 5:21).
• He was beaten so we could be healed and made whole (Isaiah 53:5).
• He was bound so we could be set free (Galatians 5:1).
Jesus died so that you could be free.
How do you receive this freedom?
It begins with a choice—a decision to believe that Jesus is who He says He is, to turn away from sin, and to follow Him into new life (John 1:12). If you’re ready to take this step, pray this prayer from your heart:
Dear Jesus,
I know I have fallen short and lived apart from You. I’m sorry for my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. I accept Your love and grace, and I invite You to be my Lord and Savior. Help me to trust You, love You, and live for You every day. Teach me to share Your love and light with the world. In Your Name, Amen.
